Why Lose Weight:
Even a modest weight loss of 5 to 15% of total body weight in a person who is overweight or obese, reduces the risk factors for some diseases, particularly heart disease and diabetes.
Consultation Fee:
A consultation fee of $25 will be charged for the initial patient visit. During your initial consultation, your provider will discuss your situation with you and may recommend lab work to investigate any underlying medical contributors to obesity. They will consider your body mass index (BMI) and the results of your lab work in order to formulate a personalized treatment method that will be the most successful for you.
Self-pay Only Program Fee:
Insurance companies that approve medical weight loss programs are few and far between. We are also accepting patients into many of our programs who have a primary care provider elsewhere. Therefore, we have built payment options with our patients’ needs in mind, as well as simplicity for our staff who oversee our programs.
Though we will not be billing insurance, you are welcome to file a claim directly with your insurance and see if they will reimburse you. This all depends on how your specific policy is set up, as to whether they will pay you back.
Lab work:
Periodic lab work is required for initial dosing and measuring response to therapy. The cost of this lab work is not included in consultation or program charges. Patients will be provided with an order for this lab testing which can be performed at any lab and can be billed to insurance, if applicable, per your agreement with that lab.
Medication:
The purpose of the medication is to help a person lose weight while on a nutritious eating plan without problems or side effects. Therefore, the providers with NRVM Medical Weight Loss may choose to prescribe medications to help them stay on their diet or to correct other medical conditions which may coexist such as diabetes and hypertension. The patient can be certain that whatever medical condition they have in addition to being overweight, your providers know which medications are safe and effective for you.
There are multitude of FDA approved and off-label used medications that can be used in weight management. Sympathomimetics (Phentermine, Phendimetrazine, others), and GLP Agonists (Moujaro, Trulicity, and Ozempic for diabetics. Or Wegovy, and Saxenda for weight loss) are amongst the most popular used, yet there are many other choices such as Contrave, Qsymia and many others that are best evaluated by the provider to be personalized to the individual needs and risk factors of each patient.
Vitamin B12 is an important part of the weight loss program because of its role in fatty acid synthesis and energy production. It also helps metabolize fats and carbs, helps release energy from nutrients and has also been known to minimize water weight. This offers excellent benefits to your health and a boost to your mood and energy.
Appointment Schedule:
Patients are scheduled with a medical provider once every 4th week. Providers for these face-to-face encounters may vary based on appointment schedules and availability. Patients will have weekly visits with our nursing team for weight-checks, vital signs review, monitoring of response to therapy, as well as any injections your provider may order for you.
Withdrawal and Program Termination:
Patients may withdraw from the program at any time, but no refunds will be provided. A 7-day notice is required to stop the next scheduled payment. Patients may be removed from the program without advance notice at any time due to non-compliance, breach of this agreement, patient health status changes, or unacceptable behavior.
Program Inclusions:
The program includes provider visits, any in-house medications such as B12 complex, administration supplies, and qualified personnel to perform weekly check-ins.
